Visual Basic Programmer

 

 

Programmed Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code to add functionality to AutoCAD to allow for easy transition from former CAD Software (CARDA) to AutoCAD. Wrote an application in Visual Basic to be run on Plot Servers to process all plot requests from users. Also aided in development of new "Field CD" process to create a CD with contract specific files to be used by Field Engineers out in the field. Included in this project was a Visual Basic application to inform the user of the progress of the CD creation, a Visual Basic application to compress all files belonging to the same drawing into a single file using Win-Zip. Another part of this project was a Visual Basic application to create an Index, using Microsoft Word and Visual Basic for Applications, that listed each file on the CD and allowed the user to open a specific file from within the Word document. Also created detailed instructions for the CD creators and users.
